One of two juveniles who escaped from Solano County Juvenile Hall on Thursday turned himself in over the weekend, a sheriff's lieutenant said.
Melvin Mason, 18, of Vallejo, surrendered at 11:30 a.m. Saturday and was arrested, Solano County sheriff's Lt. Brad DeWall said this afternoon.
The other escapee, 15-year-old Kashius Brazeal, of Benicia, is still at large, DeWall said.
"We think he's still in the county," DeWall said.
Mason and Brazeal escaped from a secured outdoor area at the facility sometime between 12:45 p.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday, but the details of how they got out remain unclear, sheriff's officials said.
Mason has given investigators very little information on the escape, DeWall said.
"He gave a vague statement how they got out. We want to talk to Brazeal," the lieutenant said.
"We're tracking (Brazeal) through associates and family," DeWall said.
Deputies found juvenile hall clothing Thursday on Boynton Avenue in Fairfield, a couple of blocks from the juvenile hall at 740 Beck Ave., DeWall said.
Mason was being held in juvenile hall for attempted burglary and vandalism. Brazeal was being held for burglary and attempted burglary, DeWall said.

Face it, the "White Guilt" well ran dry years ago. Now you are just a kid crying wolf. How about you save the crys for actual racism? If ACTUAL racism happens, I'll stand with you to resolve it.
