Fairfield police have identified two Fairfield men suspected of shooting another man in the neck Saturday afternoon.

The shooting happened around 4:30 p.m. on Airbase Parkway near the Dover Avenue intersection. Police found several bullet casings at the scene.

The 28-year-old victim suffered life-threatening injuries and is in critical condition in the intensive care unit of a local hospital, Sgt. Troy Oviatt said.

Police are looking for Fredrick Darnell Lewis Jr., 19, and 21-year-old Sir Charles Mason. Both have previous contacts with police and should be considered armed and dangerous, Oviatt said.

A car associated with Mason, a 1992 purple and black Chevrolet Camaro, was found in front of the Quail Drive residence of one of Mason's relatives around midnight Sunday, eight hours after the shooting, Oviatt said.

The victim was shot once and the relationship between him and the suspects is unknown, Oviatt said.
