Police Arrest Fairfield Woman For Residential Shooting

Police have arrested a suspect in a shooting at a Fairfield residence Monday afternoon.

Stephanie Polk, 51, of Fairfield, was arrested and booked into Solano County jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, police Sgt. Rob Lenke said.

She is suspected of shooting an 18-year-old man in a residence in the 5000 block of Day Drive during a domestic disturbance at about 12:15 p.m.

During an argument, Polk brandished a firearm and the man was shot during a struggle, Lenke said. The unidentified shooting victim was treated at a trauma center and released.
