Police Find Crystal Meth, Pipes, Sawed-Off Shotgun in Fairfield Home

Francisco Guillen 40 years and Erin Johnson 29 years of age were both arrested after the search warrant.

 

Fairfield Narcotics Investigators searched a home on the 1800 block of Utah Street in Fairfield Wednesday in an investigation that led to the seizure of a large amount of drugs and weapons. Here are the details, via the Fairfield Police Department: 

During that investigation, detectives learned that people associated with that home were also associated with a room at a motel located on the 3300 block of North Texas St. in Fairfield. Detectives sought and obtained a search warrant to search the home and motel room. 

Narcotic detectives, with assistance from the department’s Special Operations Team and the Gang Unit monitored the home while the warrants were sought, and detained four individuals as they left the Utah St. home. A Police Canine Officer, with his canine partner, “Kargo” responded to the scene of the car stops. Kargo is specially trained to sniff out narcotics. He detected narcotics hidden in one of the cars occupied by Tina Jewett, 50 years old, and her husband James Jewett, 48 year old both are Fairfield residents. 

Shortly after midnight on February 21, 2013 detectives served search warrants at the Utah St. home and the N. Texas St. motel. The search of the Utah St. home located a sizeable quantity of crystal methamphetamine, pipes used to smoke drugs, scales, and an illegally modified sawed-off double barrel shotgun. A search of the motel room located a smaller amount of crystal methamphetamine. 

Francisco Guillen 40 years and Erin Johnson 29 years of age were both arrested for: possession for sales of methamphetamine, possession of an illegally modified shotgun, maintaining a drug house, and conspiracy. Francisco Guillen was also arrested for an additional charge of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. 

James Jewett and Tina Jewett were arrested for; possession for sales of methamphetamine, transportation of methamphetamine, possession for sales of opiates, transportation of opiates, maintaining a drug house, and conspiracy. James Jewett was also arrested for an additional charge of committing a felony while out on bail for a previous arrest.
