Reckless Driver Leads Sheriff's on a Chase: Suspect Arrested for DUI, Stolen Guns, Marijuana and More

After attempting to stop a reckless driver, Solano County deputies arrest an intoxicated Fairfield man with stolen guns and marijuana. 
  
According to the press release, on Sat. Sept 21, just after 2:00 p.m., a Solano County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a vehicle on W. Texas Street that was being driven in a reckless manner.

The deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop and the driver, suspect Duane Hilton Wildman, turned and sped through a small trailer park in an attempt to get away.

After a short pursuit Wildman jumped out of the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. Wildman left his vehicle in gear as he fled and the vehicle struck a parked car as it continued to roll.
Wildman was taken into custody a short distance from where his vehicle came to rest. While being taken into custody Wildman showed signs of intoxication and an open bottle of alcohol was located within his vehicle.

The suspect was reportedly carrying $5137.00 on his person and upon vehicle search, deputies found a total of approximately 16g of marijuana and a loaded .32 caliber semi-automatic handgun.

The firearm was later discovered to be stolen recently in a residential burglary in Vallejo.

He was booked into the Solano County Jail on the following list of felony charges: possession of marijuana for sale, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, Possession of stolen property (the firearm), evading police, and probation violation and two misdemeanor charges: hit and run with property damage and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Wildman, 29, Fairfield resident is currently being held at the Solano County Jail with a no bail status and his first court appearance is scheduled for 09/24/13 at 1:30 p.m. in the Fairfield Courthouse.
