Emergency crews had arrived at the scene as of 5:15 p.m. One lane is blocked and traffic is zigzagging through the crash area, which left one car overturned in the fast lane and the other on its roof on the left shoulder, Van Eckhardt said.
The CHP said traffic is backing up north of the accident and drivers should expect delays.
