Suisun City Man Arrested on Charges of Sex With a Minor
Robert Steeves, 31, was arrested last week in Vacaville.
A 31-year-old Suisun City man was arrested last week after police say he was found having sex in his vehicle with a 15-year-old girl.
Robert Steeves was found in Eleanor Nelson Park in Vacaville just before midnight on March 28, Vacaville Police say.
Both he and the 15-year-old girl said their sex was consensual, according to a police press release.

"The victim told officers she had met Steeves on Facebook a few months ago and that they had met in person on several other occasions," the press release stated.
Regardless, Steeves was arrested and booked into Solano County Jail on charges of unlawful sex with a minor, lewd acts on a 15-year-old, and a probation violation.

"The Vacaville Police Department encourages parents to monitor their children’s social media use and to warn their children about meeting strangers in person," the department said.
