Suisun City Man Pleads Not Guilty in Friend's Shooting Death

It was revealed that Ryan J. Moore "had been drinking that evening and was upset over a recent breakup when the shooting occurred," according to the Reporter.

 

Suisun City resident Ryan J. Moore pleaded not guilty in a Solano County Courtroom Tuesday on charges realated to the shooting death of his friend last year. 

Moore was ordered to stand trial after a probable-cause hearing revealed that "he had been drinking that evening and was upset over a recent breakup when the shooting occurred," according to the Vacaville Reporter.

The 33-year old Suisun City man was arrested on suspicion of murdering Bettina Brown, 41,  on Stellar Way. 

Brown was found dead inside the home in a bedroom. Circumstances surrounding the shooting were still under investigation, [Cmdr. Tim] Mattos said Wednesday. Mattos said he couldn’t confirm where the victim was struck or how many times.

Moore was taken into custody shortly after the shooting. The presumed murder weapon, a .22-calibre rifle, was located Wednesday morning outside the house where the shooting took place.

Moore's defense argued that the shooting was accidental.
