A wanted parolee and known gang member led Fairfield police officers on a high-speed chase in Fairfield and Suisun City Wednesday afternoon, Fairfield police said. James Devon Marion, 24, of Suisun City, on parole for robbery, was seen around 3:45 p.m. near Grande Circle in Fairfield by a gang unit detective, who is also on the parole apprehension team, according to police.

After Marion saw the detective he allegedly fled the area by car, then abandoned his vehicle and ran into several backyards. He was last seen going into a random home in the 500 block of Thomas Circle in Suisun City, police said. Officers from Fairfield and Suisun City police departments, along with a Fairfield police K-9 unit, and air support from the California Highway Patrol helped create a perimeter.

In a yard search Marion was found and he surrendered without incident, police said. There was a female passenger in Marion's car that was identified and released by officers. Marion was last paroled on June 15. He was listed at-large on Aug. 21, according to police.
