Suisun Man Seriously Injured in Motorcycle/Big-Rig Crash

Angelo Cellini hurt in crash in Napa County.

A Suisun City man suffered major injuries this morning when his Harley Davidson motorcycle crashed into a big-rig on state Highway 12 in Napa County, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

The motorcyclist, Angelo Cellini, 51, struck the rear end of the big-rig near Kirkland Ranch Road on eastbound Highway 12 around 9 a.m. The big-rig had stopped because of a separate "chain-reaction" collision in the highway's westbound lanes, CHP Officer Jake Ramos said.

Cellini could not stop his motorcycle in time to avoid the big-rig, Ramos said. He was taken to Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, Ramos said.

The accident prompted the closure of several lanes of the highway, affecting traffic in both directions. All lanes reopened around 10:30 a.m.

Oh my gosh! That is my neighbor. Angelo is one of the nicest beautiful people! He organizes a large Christmas Toy Run every year for Mission Solano. He dresses up as Santa and we all ride through town (probably about 100 bikes) and personally deliver the toys to the Community Outreach Center. Love and blessings to you Angelo.
