Teen Shot in Fairfield, Suspects Arrested

The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.

A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of shooting and wounding a 19-year-old in Fairfield on Monday evening, police said.

At 5:24 p.m., Fairfield police responded to a report of shots fired at the Parkway Gardens complex, near San Lucas Drive. Officers arrived and located a 19-year-old Fairfield resident suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest and shoulder, police said.

The victim was transported to a hospital and was listed in serious condition.

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting, and police have identified them as Aldrew Jenkins, 25, and Naomi Mooring, 22, both of Fairfield. Jenkins and Mooring were booked into Solano County Jail on multiple felony charges, police said.

The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
