The teen suspect was truant from Armijo High School at the time of the residential burglary, and officers found jewelry in her handbag, Boggs said.

When the residents returned home, they identified the jewelry as their property, and the teen was booked into juvenile hall for residential burglary, Boggs said.

Boggs said the swift action of the neighbor led to the arrest and recovery of the stolen property.
