Vallejo Man Arrested On Suspicion Of December Fatal Shooting

Rommel Querol, 30, was arrested at a home at 1410 Ohio St. at about 11:30 a.m.

A man was arrested Thursday in connection with a fatal shooting in Vallejo last month, police said.

Rommel Querol, 30, was arrested at a home at 1410 Ohio St. at about 11:30 a.m. Thursday, according to police.

Querol is suspected of killing Michael Webster, a 30-year-old man who was found shot in the 200 block of Stutz Alley at 1:02 p.m. on Dec. 13, police said.

The shooting apparently occurred during some sort of altercation in the 200 block of Illinois Street. Webster ran after being shot and collapsed in the nearby alley. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Officers obtained an arrest warrant for Querol in connection with the murder and surrounded the home on Ohio Street on Thursday morning. He eventually came outside and was arrested, and has been booked into county jail on suspicion of murder.
