California has released its list of Top 500 Sales and Use Tax Delinquencies. Making the list of shame in Benicia is Cigarettes Cheaper!, 605 Industrial Way, Benicia.
The state claims Cigarettes Cheaper! owes $819,229 dating back to a first lien in September 2009.

According to the California Board of Equalization (BOE), businesses and individuals are notified before being placed on the list that they will be named publicly. Also, tax delinquents are not named “that are being addressed through payment arrangement, bankruptcy, litigation, or appeal.”
An unpaid tax bill has to top $100K before being added to the list.
