Jameson Canyon Closures This Week

There are five nights of overnight highway closures.

Information from Caltrans:

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), the Solano Transportation Authority (STA), and the Napa County Transportation and
Planning Agency (NCTPA) will be installing hillside safety netting as work in
preparation of widening Highway 12 through Jameson Canyon in Napa and Solano Counties continues.


To ensure worker and public safety during the installation, five nights of overnight highway closures are scheduled to start beginning Monday, June 18th at 11 p.m. and be completed on Saturday, June 23rd at 5 a.m. All work is weather permitting.

Closure Times and Locations

Highway 12-Jameson Canyon Road will be closed between Highway 29 in Napa County and Red Top Road in Solano County. The closures will start on Monday, June 18th at 11 p.m. and conclude on Saturday, June 23rd at 5 a.m. The closures are scheduled to start each night, Monday through Friday at 11p.m., and conclude each following morning at 5 a.m. Highway 12-Jameson Canyon

Detour

During the highway closure, eastbound Highway 12 motorists are advised to use
southbound Highway 29 to eastbound Highway 37 to eastbound Interstate 80.
Westbound Highway 12 motorists should use westbound Interstate 80 to westbound Highway 37 to northbound Highway 29. Local access is available for Jameson Canyon residents and emergency vehicles only.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will help direct motorists. Caltrans will also install changeable message signs. Motorists should allow for extra travel time.
