Sporting Clay Shoot to Benefit Solano Land Trust Saturday, August 11.

End your summer with a bang at Solano Land Trust’s second annual Aim for Ag and Open Space Sporting Clay Shoot this Saturday, August 11.

Each participant gets a sporting clay shoot of 50 targets or more, ammo, eye and ear protection, and a shooter’s gift; a post-shoot lunch featuring Vinnie’s Smokin BBQ, plus hosted beer and wine; safety instructions; and an optional beginner’s clinic.

A gun safe ($1,500 value), giant grill, 2-day Harley ride, and more great prizes will be raffled off at lunch, along with awards including High Overall, Labor Division, Ladies, Under 18, and Duck-and-Cover.  

Register now to be squadded with your friends.  Early registration still allows payment at the door.  Go to solanolandtrust.org or call Anne at 707-432-0150, extension 209.  Tickets are $75 per person for 50 targets, or $110 for 100 targets.  If a non-shooter wants to come along and enjoy the day, "Lunch Only" tickets are available for $15 per person.  Rental shotguns are available by calling in advance to 707-374-5092.

All proceeds benefit Solano Land Trust’s work to permanently protect natural areas, working farms and ranchland in Solano County and connect the community to these lands.  

This shoot and luncheon fundraiser is at Birds Landing Hunting Preserve & Sporting Clays at 2099 Collinsville Road in the town of Birds Landing.  Birds Landing is nestled in the Montezuma Hills, south of Highway 12 between Suisun City and Rio Vista.  At 8:30am, 100-target shooters check-in and the free beginner’s clinic starts.  At 10am, 50-targets shooters check-in.   The day ends at approximately 3pm.
