Savers Thrift Superstore Grand Opening in Vacaville

Savers, the national thrift chain superstore, is celebrating the opening of its new Vacaville store on Thursday, May 9 with an 8:30 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Savers, the national thrift chain with more than 320 locations across North America, is celebrating the opening of its tenth store in California and a continued partnership with the Epilepsy Foundation. The celebration of the Vacaville area location will kick off on Thursday, May 9 with an 8:30 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Savers management and representatives from the Epilepsy Foundation, the Vacaville Chamber of Commerce and Vacaville Mayor Steve Hardy, and continue through Saturday, May 11. Grand opening festivities of this new thrift store will include the chance for attendees to win one of five $100 Savers gift certificates.

The Vacaville store’s partnership with the Epilepsy Foundation means Savers pays the organization for every donated item, whether it makes it to the sales floor or not. When members of the Vacaville community donate, they are not only giving their goods a second life, they are also turning their otherwise unused goods into sustainable revenue for The Epilepsy Foundation.

Philip M. Gattone, president and CEO of the Epilepsy Foundation, said, "Epilepsy is a common and complex medical condition that will affect approximately 1 in 26 Americans sometime during their lifetime. Our valued partnership with Savers is essential to helping us serve people affected by epilepsy in their own communities so they can live full and productive lives. The Epilepsy Foundation is very grateful for the support of both Savers and the Vacaville community.”

“We’re very excited to open our first store in Vacaville,” said Dave Miller, the new store manager. “The support we’re able to provide the local community makes us proud, and we can’t wait to welcome both new and familiar customers to the store and introduce them to all our great deals offered throughout the store.”
