Live Discussion with a Tuskegee Airman

In honor of Black History Month, Congressman John Garamendi invites you to an exciting event happening in Fairfield on Sunday, February 26th.

We will join Edward Woodward, a Tuskegee Airman from Solano County, for a live conversation on his experience during World War II and the Civil Rights Movement. Most recently he served as an advisor for the George Lucas movie “Red Tails”, detailing the heroic exploits of the Tuskegee Airmen during World War II.

This is a rare opportunity to meet a real American hero, and we’ll be filming the event for the Library of Congress’s Veterans Oral History Project and the Smithsonian’s Civil Rights Oral History Project.

You can meet a Tuskegee Airman at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church at 1735 Enterprise Drive, Building 3 in Fairfield on Sunday, February 26th at noon.

We hope you can join us as we listen to history unfold.

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
