Mature Driver Safety Center

   Mature Driver Course for 55 yrs and older

Safety Center offers a Mature Driver Course that helps older drivers adapt to the current driving environment and to physical changes related to aging.

We introduce new driving techniques for cars with air bags and ABS brakes. 

Video presentations and exercises analyzing a variety of driving situations are used to help reinforce the principles of defensive driving.

New California traffic laws are reviewed so that mature drivers do not lose their driving privileges because they are confused about current laws.

Instructors provide information to help older drivers avoid situations where their slower reaction time, vision or other physical changes could put them at risk.

Older adults are the fastest growing segment of our population and Safety Center’s goal is to encourage safe, healthy and active aging.
