Good Things Happening at the Library This Month

Suisun Library offering fun for all ages

The Suisun City Library, at 601 Pintail Drive, Suisun City, has several great events planned for the month of October. From knitting and crocheting to homework help, there is something for every age group.

For Adults:

Thursday, October 4 From 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Senator Lois Wolk will be visiting. At 7 p.m. you can try your hand in the knitting and crocheting circle.

The library will be closed in observance of Columbus Day on Monday, October 8.

Tuesday, October 9 6:30 p.m., test your spelling skills in Scrabble for All.

Tuesday, Oct 23 At 6:30 p.m. Immigrants' Rights 7 -8 p.m., Tuesday Evening Book Club: The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri.

Tuesday, October 30 At 7 p.m., a Canddiate's Forum for those running for city council seats.

For Children and Families:

Wednesday, October 31 3-5 p.m. Halloween Time, Crafts, stories and a costume parade. For Teens:

Tuesday, October 2 7 p.m., Rats in the Alley, Theater games fun for all. Continuing Events

Tuesdays 4:30 p.m. Cuentos y Cantos en Español

Wednesdays 10:30 a.m. Storytime with Mr. Jim, Stories, songs, crafts & making friends. 3 p.m. PAWS for Reading, Cooper, the dog, listens to you read.

Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 3-5p.m. Homework Help for grades 1-6. Drop-in tutoring for elementary and middle school students.

Saturdays 10 a.m. Chess Club. Play games and make friends at the chess board.

 Monday, October 15 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Adult Literacy New Student Meeting. New Student Meetings are held at the Fairfield Civic Center Library.

Wednesday, October 24 6:30-8:30 p.m. Adult Literacy New Student Meeting New Student Meetings are held at the Fairfield Civic Center Library. Computer Help By appointment. Ask at the information desk.

Fridays 1:30-5 p.m. SKIP Solano Kids Insurance Program. The Fairfield Library Solano Coalition for Better Health registers income-qualified children for the SKIP insurance program. Call 1-800-978-7547.
