A Big Week For The Kroc Center

The Kroc Center folks are very busy this week. See what they're doing!

For the month of April there is a 56 cent enrollment fee for membership at the Kroc Center if prospective members pick up a voucher to "Kroc the community."

What does that mean? Well, do some good. Volunteer at a soup kitchen, donate some needed food to the Food Bank or pray for the health and security of your neighbors.

On Thursday, the Kroc Center folks will be at the Workforce Investment Board Regional Career Fair, at the University of Phoenix 5253 Business Center Dr. in Fairfield. Even if you have already applied to a Kroc Center job, the Kroc Center folks would like to see you there so they can put a face to a name.

Later that day, at the Kroc Preview center at 278-A Sunset Ave in the Heritage Shopping Center, it's Maundy Thursday time.

What's that? It's billed as an interactive journey with Jesus to the Cross. It starts at 6:30pm.

Kroc Center folks will also have a booth at the Community Youth Activity at the Joseph Nelson Community Center on Saturday from noon-4pm. Kids will have an Easter egg hunt, games, clowns, inflated jumpers and prizes.

Then on Easter Sunday there will be an Easter celebration service at the Kroc Welcome Center at 10 a.m. and a community BBQ at noon at Hall Park, just one hour before the Fire Department Easter Egg Hunt at Hall Park begins at 1 p.m.

Hall park will be clear of construction equipment in time for the Easter happenings, as confirmed by both the Fire Department and Kroc Center folks.
