In Case You Missed It: Celebration of Breaking World Record For Bell Ringing
Take a peek at the festivities as Kroc Center Director Jason Perkins broke the 36-hour world record for bell ringing.
Suisun City Kroc Center Director Jason Perkins accomplished his goal of breaking the world record for Salvation Army bell ringing Friday night and Patch was there to capture the moment on video.
Perkins set a western regional record of 57 hours and 27 minutes before he was finally convinced to lay the bell down. Salvation Army blogs indicated there were three other bell ringers left out of an original field of 24 when Perkins bowed out.
Rules for the contest included:
1. Participants must stand the entire time.
2. Participants may not eat.
3. Participants may drink hydration products only such as water, Gatorade or juice.
4. Participants must ring a bell at all times.
5. Participants only may use a bathroom once every 4 hours, during a ten minute break.
