Wooden Valley Winery Added to Wine Tasting Event
Harbor Square will be the scene of a wine tasting event benefiting community events on Thursday starting at 6 p.m.
Announced on Facebook by Harbor Square:
"We kick it off Thursday at 6pm! Pouring wine from local favorites Rock Creek Vineyard and Wooden Valley Winery. PLUS music by Raymond Victor and lite bites provided by Cast Iron Grill & Bar."

Another event kicks off this week to continue community events in the Suisun City Waterfront District. The Suisun City Historic Waterfront Business Improvement District and Waterfront District master developer Main Street West Partners have joined together to provide a twice monthly wine tasting event featuring local and regional wineries from Suisun Valley and beyond.
The tastings will run every first and third Thursdays from May through October from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. against the backdrop of the area’s largest outdoor fireplace in the courtyard of 700 Main Street.

The move comes in response to the elimination of redevelopment agency funds that were cut earlier this year that had supported many community events. Business leaders and Suisun City officials continue to work to provide family and community events that had recently been cancelled. Earlier this month, the Kiwanis Club of Suisun City pledged funds to keep the Saturday Night Movies event going this year.
“Response to this new event has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Frank Marinello, principal at Main Street West Partners. “We’re delighted to play a small part in adding one more thing to do in the Waterfront District while helping to fund other events.”
Net proceeds from the events will go to the Suisun City Community Services Foundation, a nonprofit group raising money to pay for the Independence Day Spectacular on July 4, 2012 as well as other community events.
Wines from Rock Creek Vineyard of Green Valley will be featured in the opening event next Thursday. Food will be hosted by local eatery and live music will be performed in the courtyard.
