National Train Day (in its sixth year) events are being held around the country and Suisun City is proud to host one of these events on Saturday, May 11 from 11 am to 5 pm. Come help us celebrate the 143rd anniversary of the nation's first railroad!
Activities for this family-friendly event include:
- Performance by the Crystal Middle School Marching Band
- Western Railway Museum model train interactive
- $1.43 hot dogs at the Waterfront Cafe for the first 143 attendees!
- Waterfront District businesses and community service organization booths showcasing products and services
- Shimmy (flash) Mob
- Chapkis Dance performance
- Kids Depot with fun, child-friendly activities
- Free Photo Booth
- Live entertainment from the jazz and R&B musical ensemble Suspects of Soul
- Photo history collage of Suisun City's train station
- Other surprises throughout the day!
