There is something so fun, in creating a piece of art from everyday items, such as an old watch face, buttons, lace, words from a book...all encased in a miniature drawer. I love the colors and elegance of the past, and enjoy recreating a scene or a story from long ago. This collage is on a vintage children's game card. I'll be teaching a course on how to make them, at the Suisun Community Center on August 10th. Creative Art Classes is a community program offering workshops and recreational activities. Summer classes include programs for adults and teens, and include creating travel journals, which can be filled with all types of items, such as ticket stubs, pictures, brochures and more. Glue, paper, book rings and envelopes are included and books can be custom-designed. What makes this community special?: It's the people connection, that I love. My whole life is wrapped up in the community, as I was born and raised here in Fairfield/Suisun. So much of what inspires me, comes from my everyday life, right here in Suisun.
